Please save files in folders according to size and quantity. For best results, all files should be saved at 400 dpi at the size required. We accept images saved as .jpg or uncompressed .tif RGB 8-bit. Assisted Prints from Digital Media

If you are one of the many digital photographers who do not have the time or inclination to grade your own work to get the very best from your images, this is the service for you. We take your original camera files and import them into Adobe Photoshop where our experienced technicians colour and density grade them to produce the highest quality prints possible.

The files we create can be burnt to CD/DVD for an additional £1.00. We strongly advise this as it will ensure all re-orders match the original print. It also means that re-orders can be printed at the unassisted digital rate, saving you money.

Free Digital Sample Print

To find out how good your digital files can look with our colour and density assisted service just send an e-mail with an attached image to dsetup@the-printroom.co.uk and we will post it back to you free of charge. Please include your name, address and the required surface of paper for your print.

 

Custom Machine Prints in Colour or Black & White

Our custom machine prints are ideal for the social or commercial photographer. We are able to print from 35mm, 120 and 5x4 negatives in colour or black and white. We also offer a free selective area printing service. All we ask for is an accurate cropping guide.

Sizes marked with * are full frame 35mm. Please order these sizes if cropping is an issue

Our professional packages are ideal for social and commercial photography, including weddings and portraiture, where quality is most important. Each and every frame of film is assessed and graded for colour and density to produce the very best results achievable. We strictly control our film and paper processors to ensure our quality control is complete. All negatives are packed by hand in professional sleeves and where required, returned to you in mail safe packaging.

Large Format Inkjet Printing

With our state of the art Epson 9600, with its 7 colour ultra-chrome ink set, we are able to produce stunning prints up to A0 in size, on a range of materials for both photographic display and fine art limited edition prints. The images, once printed, will have a life of over 70 years under normal conditions, lasting at least as long as conventional silver halide images. Quantity discounts may be available. Manipulation & Retouching

This work is charged by the minute at an hourly rate of £40.00. Please ensure that you obtain a quote as there may be more work involved than you expect.

 

Photo Restoration

We can take your old colour or black and white photographs for which you no longer have the negatives and digitally reproduce them on our retouching system. Rips, tears and blemishes can be removed and we will improve the colour and contrast. Your original image will be untouched and the new one will look better than you thought possible. You may have as many printed copies as you wish. Extra copies are charged at the 'unassisted prints from digital media' rate.

Alternately if having your image restored and put onto CD is of more importance to you we can do this for the price of £30 + VAT. If you then require prints they will be charged at the 'unassisted prints from digital media' rate.
